Here we are at the start of 5 year of the BAB programme. We have achieved so much together so thank you for your continuous hard work and dedication!
This is a watershed moment, we have one more year to demonstrate the value of the BAB programme to older people, one more year to embed BAB activities into the mainstream, one more year to secure the BAB partnership / leadership permanently into the fabric of the city.
We have a lot going for us. We have amazing delivery partners, an effective and experienced BAB core team. We have a strategic partnership of key agencies committed to working together beyond the lottery-funded programme.
As you may know, our BAB Programme Director has moved on. This means there will be some changes to the BAB core team for the final year.
As a programme we have reflected on what the needs of BAB are at this time and it was agreed that a BAB director was not what the programme needed in this final stage.
Instead, Carly Urbanski, BAB Programme Manager will now be stepping up and becoming the Head of Programme, overseeing all BAB operations.
We are also excited to announce that Kay Libby has become the new BAB Sustainability and Legacy Lead, this extends her current role on sustainability and legacy work and she will take on much of the strategic work with a main focus on helping BAB transition in its final year and beyond.
Age UK Bristol is committed to continue to lead the BAB partnership beyond the Lottery funding. The Age UK Bristol Board will continue to delegate responsibilities to the BAB Programme Group which comprises key strategic agencies in the city.
Looking forward to working with you all in year five of the programme
