Supporting Age-friendly Neighbourhoods

Supporting Age-friendly Neighbourhoods
Posted By: Admin, 2nd August

I'm delighted to tell you that our next age-friendly toolkit is being launched on Wednesday 28th August at The Station on Silver Street from 5 – 7.30pm.

As you may know, we published our Age-friendly Business Toolkit in May, aimed at supporting local businesses to become more accessible and inclusive. Our next toolkit focuses on neighbourhoods and on developing local communities. It will be packed full of ideas for how individuals can make a difference to their neighbourhoods and provide example stories from the people who are already hard at work in their communities, showing that anyone can have an impact.

Like our last toolkit, this toolkit isn’t aimed at BAB partners but at the older people and local communities you work with. We are developing a range of toolkits for different audience’s to ensure that everyone has the tools and advice they need to make Bristol more age-friendly because something that affects us all (in time) should involve us all.

We'd like you to help us spread the word and promote the launch event with older people and community groups who might want to make their work and volunteering opportunities more age-friendly. You can download a flyer here if you would like to use it on your social media account or website.

Tickets for the launch are free and can be reserved here. Alternatively, tickets can be reserved over the phone for those who don’t have access to the internet by ringing 0117 928 1539. Refreshments will be provided.
