It feels lately that I start every conversation talking about how busy we are at BAB. We’re reviewing the bids that we received for our Building Blocks for Wellbeing commissioning, and preparing for interviews, contract negotiations and Service Level Agreements.
I’m sure you will be aware of the fantastic work being delivered across all of the BAB delivery partners, and of the support and activities that the BAB team is delivering to support older people and delivery partners.
We seem to spend a lot of time telling you things - but we’re also keen to make sure that we receive and use information from partners.
In January we will hold another Partnership meeting, which is a great opportunity for us to update you on the progress of BAB and to receive information from you influencing how we proceed.
At the last meeting you gave us fantastic feedback about how you would like to see this partnership going forward after March 2020, and we are working on this at the moment. This will always hinge on what is put into BAB and what can be taken out by each partner. There needs to be value in what we do and I think that the value lies in the opportunity to share, learn and collaborate together.
Our Learning and Monitoring Officer, Claire, is currently going through the data we have collected from the BAB projects. She is looking for common trends that might be useful to share with partners. This can only be done with the reporting and intelligence that each of you shares with us, and we are very grateful for that.
We are coordinating the Age Friendly Bristol project and all of this relies on partners from all sectors sharing what they are currently doing and what they would like to do to make the city more age friendly. We are still looking for information across the nine visions and we would love you to submit offers and asks through the website.
You will see that we have recently updated the calendar on the website and this is another opportunity for us to take what you give us and make sure that we can share it with everyone.
Next year will see a huge amount of BAB activity and I am proud that we can celebrate this across Bristol.
Please feel free to get in touch with us if you are funded by BAB and want to share the activities that you have on offer. We want to share the great work happening both across the city and more widely where possible.
Have a great Christmas and New Year,
BAB Programme Director Adam Rees
