Training on reaching and engaging older people from Somali communities

Location: Barton Hill Settlement, 43 Ducie Road, Bristol, BS5 0AX.
Time: 10:00 -13:00

This training is open to staff and volunteers who work with older people. The training will run twice, on Tuesday 5th February and on Monday 11th February, (no need to attend both sessions). This training is being run by Midnimo Womne's Group.

Learning objectives:

  • Trainees are equipped to reach more older people from Somali communities
  • Trainees complete the training with a clear idea on how to adapt their delivery when working with older people from Somali communities in order to be inclusive and welcoming
  • Trainees develop their asset-based practice when working in communities.
