Training on reaching and engaging older people who are carers

Location: Locations Vary
Time: 10:00-13:45

This training is open to staff and volunteers who work with older people. The training will run twice, on Tuesday 5th March and on Thursday 28th March. (no need to attend both sessions). This training is being run by Carers Support Centre. Please be aware that training will take place at two separate locations.

Training on Tuesday 5th March takes place at Barton Hill Settlement, 43 Ducie Road, Bristol, BS5 0AX.

Training on Thursday 28th March takes place at The Vassall Centre, Gill Ave, Bristol, BS16 2QQ

Learning objectives:

  • Trainees are equipped to reach more older people from this community
  • Trainees complete the training with a clear idea on how to adapt their delivery when working with older people from this community in order to be inclusive and welcoming
  • Trainees develop their asset-based practice when working in communities
