Training on reaching and engaging older people with dementia

Location: Different locations
Time: 09:30 - 13:00

This training is open to anyone who works or volunteers with older people in Bristol, so feel free to pass the details on to anyone who might be interested, they do not have to be involved with BAB. Please be aware that training will take place at two separate locations. 

Training on Thursday 25th April 2019 takes place at Bristol Community Links (North location), Lanercost Road, BS10 6HZ.

Training on Tuesday 30th April takes place at Bristol Community Links (South location), Langhill Avenue, BS4 1TN

The learning objectives are:

  • To be equipped to reach more older people with dementia in Bristol
  • To have a clear idea of how to adapt your delivery when working with older people with dementia in order to be inclusive and welcoming
  • To have increased awareness of dementia
  • To develop your asset-based practice when working with communities
