Join us for the launch of our 'Age Proud Bristol' awareness campaign, encouraging people to take pride in their age.
On 24th January Bristol Ageing Better (BAB) will be launching a three month awareness campaign called, 'Age Proud Bristol' which will challenge negative perceptions of later life and encourage everyone over 50 to feel Age Proud. Reserve your space on Eventbrite by clicking here.
We will be showcasing some of the campaign materials and encouraging attendees to consider what they can do to become less ageist and more age-friendly.

10.00 – 10.15: Introduction from Laura Thacker, BAB Head of Programme.
10.15 – 10.35: Age Proud Ambassadors panel featuring Ben Barker, Colin O' Brien and Judith Brown, What’s the best thing about getting older? What advice would you give to someone who is worried about getting older?
10.35 – 10.50: Age UK Bristol Trustee, Karen West, on ageism.
10.50 –11:20: Round table discussions and feedback.
11.20 – 11.30: Pledge cards.
11.30 – 11.45: Break.
11.45 – 12:10: Alex Rotas on the power of positive imagery.
12.10 – 12.20: Judith Brown, Bristol Older People’s Forum Ambassador and Age Proud Ambassador to introduce Age Proud Bristol video.
12:20 – 12.25: Closing remarks.
12.25 – 13.00: Buffet lunch.
