Happy City develop Happy City Index

22 Mar 2016

BAB partners Happy City, a charity and social enterprise based here in Bristol, has developed a world-leading measurement tool that maps how people feel and function in their day-to-day lives. The tool is a low cost solution to collecting detailed, rigorous and fully validated data on a range of broad wellbeing measures that can then be used to identify strengths and needs or to demonstrate social value to funders and stakeholders.

As part of the Happy City Index pilot, Happy City is working in partnership with city organisations across a number of sectors: public, health, voluntary, business, environmental, arts and housing. This is an invitation to organisations to access FREE use of the Happy City Index online survey, the ‘Happiness Pulse’, between May-June this year. Each organisation signing up for the pilot will receive a unique code so that the data from their users will be supplied to them in full at the end of the trial period.

The Happiness Pulse is designed to support individuals to better understand and improve their wellbeing; provide local organisations a proven way to measure the wellbeing of their members, users or staff and compare it to city and national averages; and, in time, to ensure that the wellbeing of people and planet increasingly influence decisions at every level of city life around the UK and beyond.

To get involved with this unique opportunity, sign up before the end of April or attend one of the free introductory workshops on 11th and 21st April.  Find out more by emailing: index@happycity.org.uk.
