New faces at BAB: Welcome Vivienne and Rosie!

9 Aug 2017

We are pleased to be welcoming 2 new members of staff to the BAB Programme Management Team. Vivienne Watson and Rosie Kelly joined us earlier this week at our offices at Canningford House. Vivienne is our new Project Officer, who will be working closely with partners, and also supporting the team around the Age Friendly Bristol project. Rosie is our current Communications Officer maternity cover, and she will be part of the BAB Team for the next year, while Silvia takes her leave. She will be making sure BAB's communications channels are active, keeping the partnership informed about the programme, and supporting partners to make the most of their communications skills.

You can read more about Vivienne and Rosie below, or in our BAB Programme Management Team section of our website, along with the rest of the team.

Vivienne Watson - Project Officer (

Before starting as Project Officer at Bristol Ageing Better I worked in the university careers service sector where I focused on building up relationships with employers in order to help students into work after they graduate.  Alongside this, I also worked as a volunteer at Opening Doors London, a branch of Age UK Camden in London which aims to reduce isolation within the older LGBT community. Having such an enjoyable experience volunteering has been a major factor in wanting to make a career move into the third sector.

Rosie Kelly - Communications Officer (Maternity Cover) (

I’ve been working in communications since I graduated from university in 2014. In 2016 I moved to a role in the charity sector, helping to set up a new youth homelessness project in Sheffield. I joined BAB in August 2017 to cover maternity leave for Silvia Jimenez Cruz and I work to maintain the website, create content, send press releases and main social media channels.
