Oasis-Talk is recruiting an Elders Community Worker

Oasis-Talk is advertising the post of Elders Community Worker Based in Easton and Central Bristol. Oasis-Talk is a Community Interest Company delivering Primary Care Psychological therapies as an AQP in an IAPT Plus service in Bristol and South Gloucestershire.

An interesting new 7month fixed-term post with the possibility of a permanent position following a 7-month pilot project in Easton. The Elders community worker will work with three communities within Easton to help the older adults of those communities express their experience of the barriers to accessing NHS psychological therapies in their communities. They will then help us to design services which will find solutions to overcoming those obstacles. The Elders Community Worker will be an excellent communicator with diverse community groups and will enjoy working with older adults. This would be very suitable for someone who knows the Easton communities well and who is interested in helping older adults access help for mental health difficulties, especially those who are isolated. This is a Bristol Ageing Better funded post.

Salary: 3 days a week. Salary £22,000-£24,000 pa. pro rata
