Who We Are
BAB is a partnership of individuals and organisations working together to reduce isolation and loneliness among older people in Bristol.
The projects within this theme aimed to take a strategic approach to tackling loneliness by changing attitudes, cultures and policies across the City and within communities. We wanted to influence the way the public sector operates in Bristol so that they change behaviours and procedures to be more empowering for older people and support their contribution to City life.
This kind of change needs to happen at every level and we want to work with the media to tackle stereotypes and send more positive messages about ageing to the general public, including specifically employers and community groups.
